This May, Pure Leaf is doubling its investment in its 'No' Grants program, which last year afforded 100 women with the financial support to say 'no' to the do-it-all pressures they face day-to-day. The deadline to apply is

Who's Eligible: Check Eligibility

Modest Needs offers grants designed to promote self-sufficiency in individuals and families who, because they are working and live just above the poverty level, are ineligible for most conventional social assistance but who, all the same, are living one or two lost paychecks away from the kind of financial catastrophe that eventually leads to homelessness. Modest Needs gives special consideration to persons living alone (single persons with no dependent children), veterans who have recently returned home from military service, teachers, and first responders - the people who do the most for our communities but who often cannot receive assistance from conventional agencies when they need that help the most. The Awesome Foundation is an ever-growing worldwide community devoted to forwarding the interest of awesome in the universe. Created in the long hot summer days of 2009 in Boston, the Foundation distributes $1,000 grants, no strings attached, to projects and their creators. 

Who's Eligible: Local residents +18 yrs 

Advocating Community Equity is working hard to add to its offerings financial assistance for residents in Maryland, the District of Columbia or Virginia who need help with living expenses.
